Parking System Upgrade

TickeTrak is the University’s parking system.  The previous version was an on-prem client/server solution that had been customized over time to meet evolving institutional needs.  ITS partnered with Parking Services this summer to upgrade the environment to the latest, more scalable, most secure, and robust cloud-hosted version.  This up-to-date infrastructure offers enhancements that support streamlining internal processes to ultimately deliver a better experience for faculty, staff, and students.  We combined previously separate capabilities – citations, appeals, and permits – into one unified portal, and we were able to integrate parking eligibility and identity data with the authoritative systems of record and payments with the university’s preferred vendor.  These backend changes helped Parking Services introduce other improvements, such as virtual permits and license plate reader technology, to better serve our shared community.
