ITS has added a WePresent wireless projection and device mirroring device to the standard deployment for Hi-Tech classrooms. Presenters can now connect their Windows, Mac, and Android devices to the WePresent WiFi network and then use an app (MirrorOp or AirPlay) to display their screen directly on the classroom projector. This new functionality allows presenters to more easily step away from the podium and move about the classroom. ITS introduced this technology option to satisfy alternative teaching preferences and to better support student engagement. WePresent has been installed in all UConn Storrs lecture halls, has been provided to all campuses, and will be added to Hi-Tech classrooms when due in the upgrade cycle for a refresh.
