HuskyPrint is a computer printing service with over 30 printers located on all six campuses. It was designed for students but is open to the entire UConn community. ITS assumed management of the service over the summer and incorporated a number of improvements as we made this transition. We purchased new printers and updated the management software to facilitate maintenance and troubleshooting. The updated software includes an online print portal, MyHuskyPrint.uconn.edu, which delivers a more convenient experience for our community. Previously, students could only print from lab computers or needed to install drivers on their devices to send jobs to HuskyPrint. With the portal, they can upload documents anywhere while on the UConn network and send jobs to any HuskyPrint printer. This update also enables secure authenticated print release so that students only see their files in the queue. ITS has implemented these improvements on the Storrs campus and is collaborating with the regional campuses to update their service this fall.
