ITS negotiates an annual Microsoft enterprise license on behalf of UConn.  This agreement allows the UConn community to utilize Windows and Office products on both university- and personally-owned devices.  Over time, ITS has added elements that were not part of the standard license.  We have elected to upgrade to a new education plan (Microsoft 365 A5), which went into effect on July 1.  It includes everything that we have been purchasing separately but is more cost effective.  In the A5 plan, the mailbox size is doubled, threat prevention is improved, and a dial-in number for Teams is provided for external audiences.  The new applications – Live Events, Stream, Bookings, and Power BI Pro – cater to presentations, meetings, and self-service analytics.
