myUConn is the official UConn mobile application that connects our community to a collection of information and services which enhance campus life and online experiences. ITS regularly evaluates the effectiveness of the app, monitors advances in mobile technology, and solicits feedback to more effectively meet community needs. The latest version includes a completely redesigned and more contemporary interface. One key new feature is the introduction of personas. When you download or update the app, you are prompted to select a role at the University (commuter student, residential student, faculty and staff, or visitor) that best fits you. This feature gives the University a channel in the app for communicating critical information, and once this is set, you will see audience-specific content and can receive targeted notifications. In addition to the interface changes, ITS has updated and added modules. The dining module has a new screen and links to much more information. The Back to School section covers topics pertinent to the campus re-opening. We have also added a new module called Flea Market that enables interactions with and facilitates financial transactions between UConn buyers and sellers.
Even as we release this new version, we are developing more modules for university partners and adding more options for personas. We encourage you to think about and share your ideas for future iterations of myUConn.
